The Beginning of My 28th Year

I figure that this is as good of a time as any to finally start my own blog. I was feeling like it was totally lame to have a blog when I'm single and all, but my girls Michelle and Christy inspired me that maybe I can have a cool one too.

So here goes. It's a little late now, but it was my 28th Birthday last wednesday! I love birthdays. This was a pretty good one too.

Thanks to my students, it started on Tuesday when they threw me a liquid nitrogen ice cream party. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's when you mix all the ice cream fixins, ya know fatty things like half and half, heavy whipping cream, and sugar--then you stir it while you pour liquid nitrogen (which is at -196 degrees Celsius in case you're wondering, and it's COLD) to freeze it into ice cream. It's pretty fun in case you've never done it.

Then we went to eat at the dining hall since so many of my friends have a lot of meals left. I actually cleaned up my room and apartment (of course it's not perfect, but it's zillions times better than before)! We had a birthday party for a bunch of us who were born in November that night. It was pretty fun. We some games and talked; most importantly I got to play Rummikub later too!

Phillip did the ‘fat guy in a little coat routine’ with Elaine’s coat. Not gonna lie, it really seemed like it would’ve ripped. Then we went to eat at the dining hall since a few of my friends have a lot of meals left. It was great fun, but then again things are pretty much always guaranteed to be fun when Phillip’s around.

I went home and actually cleaned up my room and apartment (of course it's not perfect, but it's zillions times better than before)! We had a birthday party for a bunch of us who were born in November that night. It was pretty fun. We some games and talked; most importantly I got to play Rummikub later too!

Wednesday morning I woke up to my apartment being sort of covered in signs that my friends made me! They’re stinkin awesome! I have some of the coolest friends!
Then I went to the temple, it was awesome of course! Afterwards Cam, Erica, and Kristin met me for lunch at TGI Fridays (it’s become a bit of a tradition). At Barnes and Nobles I found a puzzle and book on butterflies that I didn’t already have. I found another puzzle at the mall. And I got to go to The Container Store! I love that place, it’s amazing! Erica thought I was crazy because I only bought 4 hangers. Haha. When we got back to my apartment, Erica and I ate Papa Murphy's pizza and watched a Jane Austen movie, Persuasion. One of the best!

So there were gonna be a bunch of these pictures that I was gonna put all in the middle of this post. But now this post is WAY obsolete, and it's a nightmare putting them where you want them. I think pretty much all the pictures are on facebook. And I assume that most anyone reading this is on facebook, so go look at those. I've gotta work on a CHRISTmas one now that that's over. But since this post was already typed up, I figured I'd at least post it.

Just ran out of steam, but hopefully if someone reads it they'll enjoy it. ;)
